I must admit that I have witnessed the unbiblical excesses of evangelical Christians. I am unsure whether the title “exvangelical” could be applied to me but certainly, I have moved away from seeing it as the best that Christianity can offer.
Yes, to my mind, it makes the most sense to reserve "exvangelical" for people who left the faith altogether. But "ex-80s90s-evangelical-subculture" would apply to many!
