I Was Interviewed about Christian Humanism
by Dr. Scott Postma of Books and Letters
Recently, I had the privilege of being interviewed by
, a scholar, classical educator, president of Kepler Education, and purveyor of Books and Letters on Substack. We discussed Christian humanism, presuppositionalism, and the application of Christian humanism to life.

Fantastic discussion, Joel. The idea of a Christian coming up alongside someone and saying, “Can I be human alongside you?”—that’s so stunning. I also love the idea of focusing on “the commonly human” versus “the specifically Christian,” and agree with Rawls. Also, your line—“The great Christian hope is that we get to be human forever”—absolutely fantastic.
